Types of Will

Single Will

This is a Will written for an individual to document how they would like their estate to be treated when they pass away. However, a single Will is not limited to single people. You can write a Single Will if you are in a relationship, married or in a civil partnership. For more information read our Wills Page.

Mirror Will

Mirror Wills are simply identical Single Wills that a couple make, leaving everything to each other. For more information read our Wills Page.

Living Will

A living Will is a document in which you can record your decisions as to the circumstances and types of medical treatment that you wish to refuse in the event that you do not have the capacity to communicate the decision yourself. This usually includes a Lasting Power of Attorney being registerd.

Lasting Power of Attorney

A Lasting Power of Attorney (shortened to LPA) is a way of you (called the 'Donor') giving someone you trust (called your 'Attorney'), the legal authority to make decisions on your behalf if you lose the mental capacity or if you no longer want to make decisions for yourself.
